Welcome to Two Rivers, Alaska: Home to the Chena River Recreation Area, the “Chena” Rivers, Chena Hot Springs and where the Alaskan Husky outnumbers the human residents in the valley. Two Rivers, also known as the “Valley of Champions”, harbors world class Alaskan Huskies of the Iditarod & Yukon Quest International Sled Dog races. Visit Chena Outdoor Collective to learn about the history of Dog Mushing & Reindeer in our little Pleasant Valley.

Private Reindeer Tour - 45 minutes
Have you ever wanted to meet reindeer up close? Now is your chance! Interact with our friendly herd and learn about reindeer, caribou, and Alaska’s subsistence lifestyle on a private reindeer experience. Enjoy a short walk through our black spruce forest with the reindeer. There will be many photo opportunities and reindeer kisses!
We offer private reindeer tours year round; rain, snow or shine!

Private VIP Reindeer Experience Three Hours!
Do you want to meet the reindeer, but our shorter tour option just doesn’t feel like enough? Are you looking for a once-in-a-lifetime, personalized experience? Do you want to become part of the herd? Our 3-hour private VIP reindeer experience is for you!
Partway through the walk, we’ll stop at a campfire for warm beverages and snacks.
The walk winds through beautiful mixed Black Spruce and Birch tree forest with many opportunities to capture beautiful video and photographs. If you’re interested in booking a professional photo package for this tour, just let us know!
This is a private tour, meaning the tour will be just your group!
Winter
Dog Sled Ride - 30 minutes
For those wanting to experience mushing in Alaska's interior through our pristine winter wonderland in a compact tour full of the excitement equal to the joyful yips and howls of a team of huskies! Our guests have just enough time for frosty cheeks and experience the interiors fabled cold, with multiple photo opportunities on a quick jaunt through the woods.
Tour duration includes a 5-minute educational &/or interactive experience with our Alaskan Huskies and then a 25-minute trail ride.
Winter
Dog Sled Ride - 90 minutes
For those wanting to experience mushing in Alaska's Interior through our pristine winter wonderland on a slightly longer tour, this is the tour for you!
Tour duration includes a 45-minute educational & interactive experience with our Alaskan Huskies. Learn to harness and help hook up your team! Meet all the dogs and enjoy a 45- minute dog sled ride.
Summer
Sled Dog Demo - 90 Minutes
Did you know there are more sled dogs than humans in Two Rivers? If you’re a dog lover, this is the place for you!
During the Sled Dog Demo you will:
Meet and pet the dogs of the 1000-mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race and 1000-mile International Yukon Quest Sled Dog Race
Hear stories from the trail and learn about how mushers prepare for the long distance races
Learn about the mushing lifestyle
Watch the enthusiasm of a team of huskies as they are hooked up to a cart and run around a short loop.
Due to the warmth of Fairbanks summers, we DO NOT offer summer cart tours.
Autumn
Private Fall Sled Dog Experience - 60 Minutes
Did you know training for the sled dogs begins as soon as it's cold enough for the dogs to run? Come join us on a fall training run! When the snow is not deep enough to allow for sleds, we train the dogs with side-by-side all terrain vehicles or regular ATVs. Tag along on a training run with us!
Tour duration includes a 30-minute educational & interactive experience with our Alaskan Huskies. Learn to harness and help hook up your team! Meet all the dogs and enjoy a 30 minute training run!
